A beautifully simple upcycling project! I found this tutorial through Sew Mama Sew. It is the button shirt to toddler shirt tutorial on Craftster. You simply cut apart a men’s shirt, cut a few simple pieces and sew! I used the chest measurements from Ottobre’s little clothing size chart. And cut length of dress and length of straps depending upon your toddler. I decided not to add the knife pleat bottom, partly for simplicity and partly as I didn’t have any contrasting fabric that I wanted to use. I also haven’t added a trim at the top just yet. My daughter is away visiting grandparents, so I am waiting to make final adjustments to the straps and length of dress. It might be that I have to add a trim if the neckline is too low, or cut a curve under the arms. We shall see!
The back shot is missing a couple of buttons, but these have now been sewn on!
